Mike Schumm

Mike Schumm was the Head Baseball Coach of the 1987 and 1991 State Champions. He compiled 407 victories in his 29 years of coaching Baseball. Mike won four Midwest Athletic Conference Championships and fourteen sectional titles. Coach Schumm was inducted into the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2010 and the ACME Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009. He served the Parkway community as an Assistant Football Coach for 10 years, Athletic Director for 6 years, Head Boys Golf Coach for 7 years, Head Boys Basketball Coach for 4 years, and Assistant Basketball Coach for 6 years. As an athlete at Parkway, Mike lettered in Baseball for four years, Football for four years, and Basketball for three years. He was named First Team All-Mercer County League in Baseball during his four years of high school. Mike was named Player of the Year in the Mercer County League in Baseball during his junior and senior seasons. He earned Second Team All-State in Football as a Quarterback in 1972. Mike was named All-Tri County League in Football during his junior and senior seasons. He graduated from Ohio Northern University where he lettered in Baseball.
