THIS WEEK

There is a 2 hour early dismissal on Tuesday to allow students and staff to attend the Varsity Softball District Semi-Final game at 4:00 at Lima Bath High School and/or the Varsity Baseball Sectional game at 5:00 at New Bremen High School. 

 

Students going on the field trip with Mr. Albers on Tuesday - check your email for information. Contact Mr. Albers if you have any questions.

 

  • Leave school around 8:30 return before 1:00. Report to 1st period class. Do not leave your 1st period class until you are released over the announcements. 

 

  • Wear jeans and a nice shirt. No sweatpants, pajama pants, shorts, etc. 

 

  • FBLA is paying for lunch. You do not need to bring any cash.



Students in grades 9-11 – Exam Schedule Info


  • EVERY student MUST complete the form, along with a parent signature and turn into the HS Office by TUESDAY! The form will be kept in the HS Office, so you need to take a picture or make a copy of your schedule or the office can make a copy for you. If a form is not turned in, you are required to be at school for the entire exam time.  

 

 

  • Once a student leaves for the day, they are not permitted to return unless for a game or  practice. 

 

The last FCA gathering of the school year is Wednesday morning at 7:15 in the Community Room. A special breakfast will be served for our graduating senior members. FCA welcomes all students in grades 7-12.

 

Senior Awards Night is Wednesday at 7:00pm in the Auditorium. Seniors who are receiving an academic award, athletic award and/or scholarship were mailed invitations. Stop by the HS Office if you have any questions or wish to verify that you are to attend.


SENIORS

ALL library books, textbooks, and other school issued items MUST be turned in and all book fees and lunch accounts must be paid in full BEFORE  Friday. If these items are not taken care, you cannot participate in graduation ceremonies nor will you receive your diploma. 


Blue trash barrels will be placed in the senior hallway for SENIORS ONLY to begin cleaning out lockers and backpacks. Make sure your lockers are cleaned out and all pictures and magnets on the outside of your locker are removed.


Graduation rehearsal is Friday from 12:00 to 3:00 in the HS Gymnasium. This is MANDATORY! If you do not attend, you will not be permitted to participate in the graduation ceremonies on Sunday. 


Graduation is on Sunday at 1:30. Doors will open at noon. Please review the dress code for graduation that was mailed and emailed to you. Look Sharp!  Be proud and represent yourself with pride for your accomplishment!

 

If you wish to keep your files from your school Google account, you will need to export them before July. Instructions on how to do this have been emailed to you. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Gudorf or stop by the HS Office.  


NEXT WEEK

Exams for students in grades 9-11 will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. Items to remember: You are not required to report to school until your first scheduled exam; however, study hall will be available if you ride a bus or need study time. If you are late for your exam, you WILL NOT be permitted to take your exam during your scheduled exam time. You will need to take it during the make-up time slot.

SPORTS

The Varsity Baseball team fell to Marion Local on Friday by a score of 4-2. The Panthers scored 2 runs on 6 hits. Devon Crouch led the team in hits on the day with 2, including a triple. Jacoby Triplett added a hit with 1 RBI, and Fletcher Smith, Kolt Harner and Ben Bates each collected a hit. Braxton Ford took the loss on the mound pitching 4 innings while Trent Rollins, Caiden Berry, and Fletcher Smith each threw one inning.

 

The Varsity Softball team started tournament action on Friday with a 10-0 victory over Bluffton  in 5 innings. The Lady Panthers pounded out 13 hits led by Emmery Temple with 3 hits including a homerun, a double, and 2 RBI’s. Brittyn Bruns also collected 3 hits, including 2 doubles; Bryn Schoenleben added 2 hits with a double and 1 RBI. The pitching staff threw a 5 inning no hitter with Bryn Schoenleben picking up the win while Meg Henkle and Brittyn Bruns both pitched in relief. 

 

The Boys & Girls Track teams participated in day 2 of the MAC meet at Versailles on Friday. Athletes scoring include:

  • High Jump - Zachary Rogers - 6th; Collin Langenkamp - 8th 

  • 100m Hurdles - Naomi Knapke - 6th

  • 4x200 Relay - Cami Langenkamp, Amanda Barrett, Alexis Berry, Naomi Knapke - 4th;

                       Luke Booher, Josiah Neff, Eli Schumm, Ja’mani Bixler - 6th

  • 1600m Run - Taylor Muhlenkamp - 8th

  • 400m Dash - Naomi Knapke - 6th; Trevor Stearns - 3rd

  • 300m Hurdles - Thomas Hague - 8th

  • 200m Dash - Josiah Neff - 8th

  • 3200m Run - Taylor Muhlenkamp - 3rd

  • 4x400 Relay - Thomas Hague, Eli Schumm, Josiah Neff, Ja’mani Bixler - 7th 

 

Athletic events for today:

  • Varsity Baseball HOME vs Celina at 5:00

 

After school weight lifting is done for the school year. The weight room will not be open to students who are not there with a coach.

 

The Varsity Softball District Semi-Final tournament game is tomorrow at 4:00 at Lima Bath versus Van Buren. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online. Student tickets are $5 and adult tickets are $8. Online tickets can be purchased at: https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets Select Softball / Division III then look for Parkway.  

 

The Varsity Baseball team will begin Sectional tournament action tomorrow at 5:00 when they travel to New Bremen to take on the Cardinals. Tickets may be purchased at the gate or online. Student tickets are $5 and adult tickets are $8. Online tickets can be purchased at: https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets Select Baseball / Division IV then look for Parkway. 

 

The Varsity Boys and Girls Track District Meet will be at Spencerville on Wednesday and Friday. There is separate admission for each day. Admission can be paid with cash at the gate or tickets can be purchased at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets  Select Track / Division III / Spencerville. There are tickets for May 15 and May 17. Prices are $8 adults and $5 students.

The Mercer County Youth to Youth End of Year Gathering is on TONIGHT from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Foundations Clubhouse located at 221 S. Buckeye Street in Celina.
